This beta version of BlackBerry Messenger 1.0 Social SDK gives developers the opportunity to test how well their applications before releasing to the public.

Developers can among other things:

Access and update user profiles and status, and personal messages avatar
Create custom fields in user profiles where you can promote recent activities or goals achieved.
Starts BBM via chats and file transfers
Share your location with all the friends of the contact list
Start the application of BBM in the background, either games or tips as needed

Java developers can leverage existing fields of BBM chat, and add UI components to Java directly. BlackBerry developers WebWorks works a little different.

Those who want to try it can download from the BlackBerry Developer Zone, and begin testing their applications.
